The Shimano L04C Metal Metal brake pads are durable, provide high braking power and are suitable for most Shimano road bike disc brakes and the Shimano XTR M9100 mountain bike brakes. Please note whether you have brake discs that are suitable for these brake pads. You can find further explanation about this further down on this page.
Good wear resistance and heat dissipation
The Shimano L04C Metal are sintered brake pads with cooling fins that are suitable for Shimano road bike disc brakes. These brake pads consist of a compound of resin that is mixed with metal particles, placed on a back with cooling fins. This compound is therefore very hard and wear-resistant.
Sintered brake pads are in themselves more resistant to the heat that can be generated during frequent braking. This property is enhanced by the cooling fins that are placed on the back plate, which limits heat development to a minimum.
The disadvantage of these brake pads is that they engage less quickly than organic or semi-metallic brake pads and make more noise when braking.
Good braking power under even the most extreme conditions
With these brake pads you are assured of good braking power under all conditions, even the most extreme. So, whether you are cycling in very muddy conditions or making long descents in warm conditions. With the Shimano L04C Metal you are always good!
Not suitable for all brake discs
These hard brake pads are not suitable for all brake discs. These brake pads can only be used on ground brake discs, because they consist of harder material. Pressed, soft brake discs are only suitable for soft, organic brake pads. These will wear out quickly due to harder brake pads.
